Dear Lakeside Family,

I thank my God for you in my prayers and I am overjoyed to be your pastor. I do not take for granted that I have been blessed to be placed at Lakeside. You all are supportive, kind, hardworking believers who love your church and your community!

Thank you for a wonderful 2024. We closed out the year with a big day of giving. With your generosity we provided 61 families the gifts and clothing they requested from the Humble ISD McKinney-Vento program which assists homeless students and their families in the district. The coordinator was amazed by our gifts and was so appreciative of the support for these families.

If you remember, I spoke with you in September with a concern. We were over $70,000 behind our budgeted amount for giving and the result was $9,000 in the bank. You answered the call in abundance! I can’t thank you enough for your generosity. Your generosity included a last day call to action that resulted in $19,000 raised on December 31, 2024! We finished out the year with over $60,000 in the bank, we have more families pledging this year than the last few years and our pledges total more than the past several years.  Thank you so much!

December was a month of blessings that included an amazing play by our kiddos, great music, a singalong, communion, cookies exchanged, families severed, and youth having a blast at the Christmas party. The Board and I are looking forward to more ministrty, fellowship, learning, growing, and the power of the Spirit at work in our neighborhood church this year. God has been so good and so have you!

Phill is back and he brought a friend. We have two boxes to fill. As you, or your friends and neighbors, consider passing on items you don't need, consider bringing them to the box. The donations help others and Phill sends money back to support ministries at Lakeside. Phill the box with gently used clothing, shoes and accessories!

In-Person Youth gather each week to have a ton of fun, learn about God and the importance of Christian community

Come join the Lunch Bunch to meet new people or old friends. This Sunday we are meeting at Manuel's. Next month, lunch at church.

Starting on Sunday, January 19, 2024 right after worship a new 5-week study. The study will meet for about an hour each Sunday. This first study of 2025 is called The Faith of a Mockingbird by Matt Rawle. You can purchase a copy of the study book below.
