Lakeside is a friendly, neighborhood church. We have grown up with the surrounding neighborhoods. At our inception, we started worship in the cafeteria at Eagle Springs Elementary before moving into our current building in Summerwood (14303 West Lake Houston Parkway). Our congregation is comprised of your friends and neighbors and we are a great place for families at all phases of life and for those looking for a supportive community to grow in their faith.
Lakeside is made up of everyday people who simply desire a closer relationship with God and what truly matters. How you dress is not important and everyone is welcome. Sunday mornings you can expect to see people dressed casually or in suits. It really doesn’t matter. Worship is our focus, not what we wear.
Worship at Lakeside UMC is anchored by a band consisting of guitars, keyboards, drums, bass, and more. We play music that ranges from modern to the most traditional. Even though we have an informal service, we maintain elements of worship that have been with the Christian church for thousands of years.
We work hard to deliver dynamic messages that are engaging, timely and culturally relevant. The weekly message is not just provided in the sermon, but it is embedded throughout the entire worship service through our music, prayers, communion, baptisms, and other Holy sacraments. Our goal is to enable true worship that fills you with God’s presence and purpose.
When you come in you will be greeted and you can grab a coffee and donuts and speak to families similar to yours. Then come in to worship for music and a message from Pastor David!
During worship children are invited to go to a seperate class just for them. We have them broken into big kids, pre-k and nursery class. You can drop off infants and young toddlers to the nursery.
You can also experience Lakeside by visiting us on Facebook for live worship. Visit our Live Stream on Sunday morning at 10:30AM to experience a glimpse of our service. Come on Sunday to really experience the joy and love of our community.
