Announcement about Sara Walsh and the Youth Ministry

Dear Church Family,

Please be informed that Sara Walsh has made the difficult decision to step down from her role as Youth Director at Lakeside UMC, effective January 31, 2025.

Sara has dedicated 10 years to faithfully serving our children’s, youth, and day school ministries , and we are deeply grateful for her passion, leadership, and commitment to guiding our young people in their faith journey.

While we are saddened to see her go, we understand and respect her decision to take a step back and make space for an increasingly busy family life.

The Board and I will be taking steps to ensure a smooth transition in the Youth Ministry and will soon share details regarding our plans for the immediate future of the ministry. We are hopeful that the ministry will continue to grow young people’s faith in new ways in this next chapter. We believe God works in every season and we hope to honor God with our faithfulness in the season to come. In the meantime, please join us in expressing our sincere gratitude to Sara for her significant contributions to our church community.
